Johnny Depp is an American actor, producer, and musician. He was born on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky, and grew up in Florida. Depp first gained prominence in the 1980s on the television series "21 Jump Street," but it was his role in the 1990 film "Edward Scissorhands" that established him as a leading Hollywood actor.


Over the years, Depp has starred in a wide variety of films, including "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Sleepy Hollow," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "Alice in Wonderland," and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," among others. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won a Golden Globe Award.
